Debbie Marsh
Debbie is the Director of the Irlen® North East Centre. Debbie graduated in 1980 with a BEd honours degree in Applied Education and has taught in 3 primary schools at Key Stage 2. She trained as an Irlen® Screener in 1997 and then became an Irlen® Diagnostician in 2000. Debbie has a son Tom who has severe Irlen® Syndrome, Autism and dyslexia. Working for the Irlen® Centre North East for over 20 years, Debbie has assessed children and adults from 5 to 80 years old and has seen lives dramatically changed with Irlen® Spectral Filters. Debbie lives in Rawdon, Leeds, West Yorkshire.
Sarah Bramham
Sarah is a fully qualified Irlen® Diagnostician and brings new areas of expertise to the team with whom she shares her passion.Sarah has served the Education System for over 25 years and the area of special educational needs for 19 years. Sarah is a specialist Teacher who is also a qualified Dyslexia Assessor. Through her additional role as a SEND Advisor, Sarah supports pupils and organisations where barriers to learning are identified. She herself has dyslexia and Irlen syndrome so understands the journey many of the children and adults that she assesses are going through. Sarah lives in Bingley, West Yorkshire.
Celia Stone
Celia is the former Director of Irlen® North East and is one of the pioneer diagnosticians for Irlen in the UK. In 2023, following over 35 years of loyal service to Irlen and the education sector, changing the lives of hundreds of people in the process, Celia retired as a Diagnostician. However, Celia remains an asses to the team, providing overlays to organisations and individuals through order requests.
Peter Marsh
Peter is the husband of Debbie and is a a Co-Director of Irlen® North East. Having served the Education Service as a teacher, Primary Headteacher and Primary School Advisor, Peter now acts as the Account Manager for Irlen® North East.
Chantal Kelsey
Chantal is taking a sabbatical at present and will not be seeing clients until further notice.
Chantal is a graduate with a B.A. (Hons) in English Literature and a PGCE in Secondary English teaching both achieved at University of Wales, Aberystwyth. She has 11 years of teaching experience both as a Secondary Teacher and as a fitness instructor in England and Wales. She also has personal experience of Asperger’s Syndrome within the family and wears Irlen lenses herself, as do her two children. Chantal is a qualified Irlen Diagnostician. In addition Chantal is currently completing a Level 4 OCN course in ‘Understanding and Applying Good Practice with People with Autism.’
